Form finding is a task structured in Studio 4 (Construction) which requires students to explore, design and iterate a machine that could generate a form that could be measured in parameters such height, time and pinned points.
The ultimate goal of form finding is to guide the further design of the main project which is Symbi(oasis). This process is split into 2 main phases, 1st one being design the manual machine, 2nd is using computational algorithm to visual the shape in digital. The forms are then analysed and applied for design iteration across all scales from micro to macro. Finally, the form was used to propose a conceptual visualisation of how it could be utilised for designing architecture. Works shown below are individual work.
